In operation since 1995, the Institute created a clinical training network, utilizing volunteer physicians to train third- and fourth-year osteopathic medical students from around the country. Over the 13-year history of the network, thousands of students were served. So successful was the program, that the network was a seed for Georgia's newest medical school; the Georgia Campus of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, which opened its doors on August 15, 2005. Proudly, the Institute has continued to develop the network to expand opportunities throughout the Southeast. Physicians interested in becoming part of the network faculty are encouraged to contact:

The Institute owes a great deal of gratitude to so many physicians that have given of their time and talents to train future physicians. Unknown to the Institute's leadership in the early stages of development, was the depth of success of the program. In 2004 a study was done of the newly licensed physicians in Georgia. The study found that for the nine-year period (1995-2004), twenty-four (24%) percent were involved in the Institute's training program at some point during their medical school years.
Network physicians have commented that their involvement has kept them on their toes educationally, and that some have even found future partners. Take the first step now in joining hundreds of other physicians by becoming an active member of the Institute's clinical education network (
